EMDR & CISM Trained, Convenient Evening & Weekend Hours: In addition to my work with adolescents, I work with adults on a variety of issues, including sexual addiction & sexual issues. Trauma, addictions, anxiety & depression are all areas I treat with a variety of cognitive-behavioral techniques or solution-focused/reality therapy techniques. I offer counseling tailored to fit your individual needs, in a supportive, and confidential environment. My style has been described as empathetic and compassionate. I partner with my clients in helping them to understand themselves. We identify feelings & thoughts, which may be counterproductive and interfering with personal happiness and/or relationships. Using cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, or reality- based techniques, I help people change the way they think about themselves & situations so that thoughts are more positive and reality-based. Therefore, leading to more positive feelings and less anxiety and depression. I offer a sliding scale payment option if needed. I believe that we all can benefit from learning more about ourselves and from having the unbiased support of another person. The more insight we have into ourselves, our behavior, and emotions the more choices we have; and the more power we have to make positive changes in our lives.
