I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) who has been working in the field for over 15 years. I worked in a Community Mental Health setting for over 10 years; focusing on patients with persistent & chronic mental illness. During this time I held various positions including supervising an Emergency Service department located in a local ER that specialized in crisis evaluations/ interventions for both children & adults. Since November 2011, I have solely work as a therapist in a private practice setting. Although I specialize in Eating Disorders, I also treat those affected by depression, self-esteem issues, as well as family & relationship issues. I have embraced working with those diagnosed with Eating Disorders and feel passionate about their treatment. I work closely with area providers and will assist clients with referrals for medical and nutritional assessments as needed. Having a team of providers makes it possible to have the most effective treatment outcome. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment that allows clients to focus on themselves and begin their healing process. I believe that building rapport and a trusting relationship with your therapist is a key factor in your recovery.
