I consider it a privilege to hear your story and to collaborate with you to identify and encourage possible steps toward a more peaceful and satisfying life and relationships. My past experience with children and families in churches, in culturally diverse schools, and in supervised court-ordered visits between nonresidential parents and their children has equipped me to help children and parents with behavioral issues, resulting individual or marital stress, and issues of loss -- death, divorce, disasters and disappointment. I counsel individuals, families and couples in private practice and facilitate parent education classes and grief and loss support groups. I have completed Basic Discernment Counseling Training for couples considering divorce. I approach therapy from a faith-based, strength-based, holistic view and may include art and play in sessions.
