Over 40 years of building relationships has taught me everyone is capable, if motivated and supported, of building a more satisfying life given the insight therapy can offer. Within a caring, empathic, therapeutic relationship, you can move forward with your life. My professional background includes in patient and day program psychiatric children's' hospital, adolescent group home, sp.ed.preschool assessment and parent support, classroom consultation and individual treatment with clients ages 4-75. Issues of grief,loss and trauma ,sexual/physical abuse, depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties at home, work, or school as well as learning disabilities and school difficulties can be addressed. Parenting issues are a particular interest as raising children in today's complicated world is an ever increasing area of confusion and worry. With the increased demands of work and finances and seemingly less time, parenting has often become less pleasurable and more stressful. Together we can affect positive changes. Working with parents and children from pre school through high school as well as teacher consultation regarding classroom behaviors and interventions has provided a background in social, emotional, behavioral and learning issues.
