Hope is hard to come by sometimes. One of the most important factors in creating change is hope. I believe that is something that I consistently and effectively offer my patients: renewed hope and a plan for change. I am a positive person who has a great interest in helping children, adolescents, adults and families achieve their best functioning. I am also a parent and understand the challenges the role can bring. Because of this, I have a special interest in helping parents be the best that they can be for their family. I do individual, couples, and family therapy. My background in Marriage and Family Therapy enables me to address the problem in its context and help the patient see the effects on their life and those around them. I offer help with depression, anxiety, and other difficulties, often using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: essentially, how thoughts shape behaviors. One of my strengths is partnering with patients to gain insight into how their past has influenced the present. When current behaviors or thoughts need transforming, I offer challenge in non-judgmental ways. My hope is to provide a comfortable context for change, relief from suffering and ultimately peace.
