It's taken me a long time to compose this personal statement. I guess because in some ways, it seems like bragging, which I am uncomfortable doing. But I want you to know about me, so here goes. I've been in the field of counseling for 30+ years. I've worked in various area hospitals and started my private practice about 10 years ago. I enjoy working with adults, primarily, and specialize in chronic illness, end of life issues, grief, depression, anxiety and PTSD. In a word: transitions. I think most of my clients would tell you that I am approachable, a good listener and helpful. I am a 'down to earth' type of person and interact with people in that way. Life is challenging, change is inevitable. I can help you manage challenges more effectively.
