I strive to provide quality, dependable, and helpful therapy to those in need. I find extreme satisfaction helping people identify areas in their life that are challenging them and helping those individuals find resolution, perspective, and peace. My experience as a counselor includes working with young children, adolescents, and adults in areas of transition, crises, personal growth and development, divorce, weight and eating issues, anxiety, academic issues, blended family structures, identity crises, depression, women issues, parenting issues, grief, and surviving abuse. I have experience in utilizing several research-based theories of counseling, including: Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, Adlerian-focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Play Therapy, Transtheoretical Model of Behavioral Change, Client-centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existential. I have experience with group counseling as well as individual therapy. I have facilitated change in behaviors in people with conditions including but not limited to eating disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, mental and learning disabilities, and Bipolar Disorder. I take an eclectic theoretical approach to providing therapy.
