Most people need help throughout their lives when their challenges become too overwhelming. When they are dealing with multiple stressors at once. When they have little to no support. When their problems exceed their ability to cope. When they are stuck, paralyzed, unable to make their next move. As a result, lives become unmanageable, dysfunctional, anxiety ridden, or depression filled. People end up lost and sometimes hopeless. This can be temporary and situational or chronic and lifelong. Either way, I can help. I help individuals improve their lives by teaching evidence-based skills that enable them to make positive changes in thoughts, attitudes and behaviors. My clinical interest is in Behavioral therapy. Behavior therapy assumes that a set of symptoms reflect multiple underlying causes. Treatment focuses on identifying and analyzing the factors that maintain current maladaptive feelings, thoughts and behaviors and how the client's environment has an impact on those behaviors. I have provided clinical services to populations in various settings including psychiatric hospitals and treatment facilities. Additionally, I have worked as a Behavior Instructor for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. I offer early morning and evening hours in a private, comfortable setting.
