Mrs. Kate Bartlett Lieder
Marriage & Family Therapist, MA, LMFT
Westport, Connecticut 06880

I work with individuals, couples and families helping them with many of today's life challenges including: relationship problems, life stage transitions, cancer issues, addiction, parenting, anxiety and depression. I believe that most problems exist within the context of people's relationships with one another and not some inner pathology. I work to help my clients tap into their own inner strengths and resources to overcome obstacles that may be keeping them stuck. I work collaboratively with my clients to find solutions and to overcome destructive and negative patterns of behavior in order to lead healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives. I have extensive experience working with substance abuse and addiction problems as well as cancer and cancer survivorship issues. Both of these life challenges effect the entire family system and I work to help families process and cope with the many emotions and challenges they may face. I am a warm, compassionate person who understands that life can be difficult and that often we find ourselves struggling with the unexpected challenges life can throw our way. I am passionate about what I do and about helping others overcome their problems in order to reach their true potential.
