I have over 25 years of experience helping children, youth, adults, and families to find improved health and well-being. It has been my experience that individuals do the best they can with the information they currently have; at times, however, people seek new information or a new point of view. I collaborate with people to plan a course of treatment that fits them best. I have found several evidence-based treatments to be the most helpful: EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma, PTSD, loss/grief, and attachment issues. I enjoy working with people of all ages. I have worked with children as young as 2 using play therapy and EMDR. I have found a variety of therapies helpful with adolescents and adults and often create a "tool-kit" in partnership with the individual. I have special interest in the use of mindfulness to reduce stress, as well as writing as a therapeutic tool. I trained in Trauma Sensitive yoga and the Amherst Writers and Artists program.
