I am a licensed psychotherapist providing individual, couple and family therapy for a wide variety of issues such as depression, stress/ anxiety, chronic illness support, caregiver support, etc. I specialize in Medical Family Therapy focusing on patients and families affected by a cancer diagnosis or other medical illness such as Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, chronic pain, cardiac conditions,and HIV/AIDS.I also counsel women who are considered high risk for hereditary Breast and Ovarian cancer (BRCA1/BRCA2 mutation)to review management option and share their concerns in a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment. A medical diagnosis can lead to distress even for the most stable and resilient person and psychotherapy can be a vital component in your comprehensive treatment. I use proven, research based interventions in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution Focused therapy and provide caring emotional support regarding these sensitive issues. I take into account the medical, psychological, social, relational and spiritual aspects of your experience and how it affects you both personally and professionally.
