I specialize in treating victims of trauma (from a range of causes) through EMDR and traditional cognitive behavioral therapies. My ultimate goals for clients include their personal growth and development of positive relationships, but achieving day-to-day functional successes is the primary objective. Trauma from single or repeated incidents frequently result in mild to severe psychological conditions that benefit from therapy. Depression, anxiety, or other symptoms stemming from those events affect our relationships with others (at home, at work, and elsewhere), as well as a person's self-esteem/self-worth. My therapeutic approach is to address both the cause and consequence of such life altering events. Helping clients manage and thrive despite chronic mental health conditions, such as recurring depression and bipolar disorder, is another aspect central to my practice.
