I believe in resiliency and the ability to overcome adversity. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families for over 15 years. My approach is relational, compassionate, flexible, and I will work to enhance your strengths. All of us encounter difficulties in life, either in our family relationships, work situations, health or other areas. I see myself as someone who can help you, and/or your child(ren) get back on a path of healing and wholeness. I will work with you to understand your difficulties in the context of your family, work, culture, and religion. I will tailor the treatment to the client. Some clients like a directive process with learning specific skills. Others work well with a relational approach. Together, we will find what works for you. With child and adolescent clients, I collaborate with parents. I am knowledgeable about parenting, depression, trauma, anxiety, and wellness strategies. I am bicultural (Irish/German/Puerto Rican) and bilingual (Spanish) and understand the compexities that arise with multiple identities. I have had a great deal of experience working with Latino/a clients from many countries, and am able to provide therapy in Spanish.
