Particular areas of interest are: trauma recovery, managing stress, regulating emotions, improving interpersonal relationships, and achieving a sense of personal balance/ satisfaction with life. My expertise has been developed over 3 decades of working with adults, children, caregivers, and families. I am professionally licensed in mental health counseling, social work, and school counseling. I help people embrace life's changes and challenges by learning healthy ways to cope, adapt, and grow. I often use creative interventions such as play and art to engage and empower children and teens. They learn to express feelings appropriately, solve problems effectively, increase school success, and cope with difficult issues such as moving, bullying, separated/divorced parents, blended families, abuse, and other childhood traumas.
