I offer counseling to adults and adolescents, individuals or couples. Counseling happens best when there is trust between the client and counselor. I offer a safe and supportive environment so my clients can explore their thoughts and emotions. I strive to help clients help themselves by providing tools to affect change in their lives and to understand the meaning behind feelings and behaviors. Counseling involves the sharing of personal problems, concern, and stories. As a professional, I am committed to helping my clients find resolution or solutions for their particular situations. I have experience counseling individuals, couples, and groups with a variety of mental health diagnoses including substance abuse issues, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, adjustment disorder, and some personality disorders. My primary goal is to afford my clients respect and positive regard in my effort to instill trust. My approach to therapy is an integrative one which means I use techniques from more than one therapeutic school of thought.
