My clinical practice is aimed at addressing a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, spirituality, transition, parenting, behavioral and interpersonal/relationship challenges. I work with both children and adults. My therapeutic orientation when working with adults is an integrated approach of mindfulness cognitive behavioral therapy and insight oriented, psychodynamic therapy. As part of my work with mindfulness I help clients develop greater cognitive, emotional and somatic (body) awareness as a means to healing. I also incorporate elements of expressive arts therapies in working with clients who are interested in and might benefit from a supplementary, arts oriented approach. My work with children is a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, the ARC trauma treatment model, expressive arts therapy, and play therapy for younger children. I also bring my experience as a musician and songwriter to my work with children, using songwriting and music making as a clinical tool.
