**I am currently only taking patients who can attend sessions between 10am and 1pm*** I highly recommend my colleague Kristen Garvin, MA who is also on this site. To tell you about myself, I received my MS, PhD, and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan. I have published multiple journal articles and book chapters on depression, trauma, and suicidal behaviors. I have been working with individuals with psychiatric needs for 9 years. I most recently worked for 2.5 years as an Attending Psychologist at Bradley Hospital on their inpatient unit. I am now an independent practitioner so I can work with individuals, couples and families on a more long-term basis, allowing time for meaningful change and healing to occur.I am trained to treat anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal thoughts and behaviors, among other issues. I use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. Using these treatments, In the context of supportive therapeutic relationship, I believe that individuals can recover from, or better learn to cope with, their mental health or social issues, and wish to instill this hope in others.
