As a counselor, I bring unconditional positive regard, a belief in individual strengths, and an unwavering commitment to you. I am genuine, empathic, intuitive, and passionate about helping you. I have experience working with people from young adulthood to late adulthood. I specialize in areas of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, major/transitional life changes, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. My belief is that human beings need support and validation when working towards the achievement of one's full potential through creativity, independence, and self-awareness. The client is the cook, the counselor has the ingredients, and together they create the recipe. I seek to use the modality that fits each individual. I use a variety of eclectic counseling theories to create trust, comfort, and the space for you to explore your inner thoughts and wishes and decide where you want to go in therapy, and in life. I believe in hope. I believe in the pursuit of a better, happier life. I also believe that sometimes our thoughts- our outside circumstances- our pressures can deter us from that happy life. And I believe you deserve better; that every person can and should live the life they deserve.
