I have been working with children and adolescents for more than 20 years and as a Clinical Social Worker since 2006. My clients describe me as warm and compassionate with a no nonsense approach. I provide therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families. My broad range of experience includes addressing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioral issues and coping with chronic illness and trauma, including working with families with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other illnesses. I provide both individual and family therapy. My focus is working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. Through this work, I developed a strong interest in family therapy and enjoy working with the family unit on effective communication skills and stress reduction/coping skills. In addition, I received my certification in Trauma Counseling for Children and Adolescents in 2011. I have more than 20 years of experience working with families dealing with chronic illness, grief and the stressors related to this unique population.
