I am passionate about working with individuals who struggle with the darkest parts of themselves as unresolved trauma can manifest itself in so many different ways (fear, anxiety, anger, depression, addiction and fracturing relationships). I utilize a compassionate approach to the counseling experience by focusing on the unique core strengths of each individual. Often the internal struggle between the head and the heart is viewed through a fractured or broken emotional lens which hides the fortitude, aptitude and strength required to enact meaningful change. The counseling relationship provides a safe and supportive environment in which to discover the true essence and unique facets of this life's journey. The counseling process does not come without hardship as it requires both counselor and client to be fearless and courageous in their willingness to take action. I have spent the majority of my counseling career on the frontlines of the mental health landscape as a crisis counselor and a correctional mental health specialist. My approach to counseling is rooted in finding peace, stability and balance in the midst of the chaos and disappointments of life.
