Welcome! My name is Lezlie McKenzie and I am licensed as an Adult PsychiatrIc Nurse Practitioner PMHCNS (Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist). I primarily see persons age 18 and older who are seeking medication management for psychiastric issues, as I am licensed to prescribe medications. I also provide psychotherapy services, if needed in conjunction with medication management and yet, I have also provided psychotherapy for individuals and couples along with providing consultations of different types at times. Important to me is to work as a team in order to find the best and most effective treatment needed. Prior to beginning my private practice in 2008, I worked extensively either in an acute hospital setting or in outpatient setting treating Severly and Persistently Mentally Ill patients. My focus has expanded with the move to a community practice in providing treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, ADD/ADHD and Mood Disorders. The environment of my office and practice is to provide a place which is relaxing and comfortable. I endorse a philosophy that the best treatment outcomes are a result of good communication and listening. I openly express my opinions and recommendations but of utmost importance to me is listening to my patients.
