I understand how busy life is and how finding time to take care of yourself can be a challenge; especially when struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma. I believe that you are ultimately the expert of your life, but there are times when each of us could benefit from help. As your therapist, I will partner with you in an active, yet non-judgmental manner to help you achieve your goals. My therapeutic style is eclectic. I don't believe "one size fits all." Our work together may include "traditional" therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, life coaching/career counseling: Dependent on goals. I have advanced doctoral training and expertise in adult and adolescent behavioral health; with a specialization in co-morbid medical and psychological issues. With extensive counseling of LGBT individuals, couples and families; along with pediatric and adult HIV. Specialized in adolescent depression, anxiety, self-esteem, academic performance and college preparation. As a believer of the mind-body connection and integrated health care, I understand the importance of collaborating with your healthcare team, if needed, to support your holistic wellness goals. This support, consultation with teachers/professors, services provided outside the office; or via media, may all be available upon request.
