I am naturally disposed to be non-judgmental and positive. I know there are times when it is hard to make sense of one's life and move forward. It can be hard to separate what is you and what are the circumstances impeding understanding and change. The culprit often is that what we learned as children about how to survive is not serving us well in our adult relationships, whether in marriage, work, or friendships. I have great compassion for this very human struggle, and am by nature non-judgemental and positive. Working with couples, I am on the side of the relationship, teaching each to take care of that entity, their marriage, while having their own needs understood. I open up communication to lead away from damaging the relationship and toward trust and intimacy. I also have extensive experience with the surprising difficulties of remarriage. Living in Jackson Hole, I know that this area attracts high-functioning individuals who nonteheless can get stuck. We all had childhoods that were imperfect, nad we have all brought that into our adult relationships. I can help you understand the possible impacts of that. I often give homework--therapy is work!
