Making changes is never easy. Sometimes, when we are midst the journey it seems impossible to make changes for ourselves. I am inspired by my clients on a regular basis and their ability to make changes and do things differently. One of my favorite quotes has been: "Of all the mistakes I ever made were when I said yes and should've said no." This ability to say yes to ourselves is sometimes not as easy as we would like it to be. I find it enlightening and a privilege to be able to support people with this change. My primary experience has been in working with folks that struggle with: abandonment, anxiety, grief, self injury, depression and self esteem. I find it essential to provide a safe space and relationship for individuals. It is easier to make changes when we feel safe. I have had the privilege of working with people who have inspired me and taught me how to be a better social worker for almost 20 years now. My client's have been my best teachers. I have been told that my style is patient, supportive and caring.
