'Whatever you can do or dream...begin it!' (Goethe) I'm a psychologist and Alzheimer assessment, treatment and risk reduction specialist. My clients range from unhappy teens to midlife and elderly adults. Whether it's planning for or dealing with transitions, disappointments, career choice or change, managing the stress of caregiving, coping with grief and loss, an unfulfilling relationship, empty or overflowing nests, weight management, substance abuse, fear of or treatment for dementia, or simply beating the blues, I'm here to help. I speak Spanish, German, and basic Hebrew, operate a bed and breakfast, love nature, animals, traveling, cooking, books, have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I'll hear your gripes, help put them in perspective and be your sounding board, cheerleader (or whip cracker!) as you plan and implement the steps that will give you the life you want. There will be homework: reading, writing, new activities and ways of behaving in troublesome situations or relationships. Alzheimer caregivers: I'll give you tools to make your "36 hour day" easier and improve the life of your care recipient. Medicare covers sessions with family of Medicare patients. Day, evening hours.
