I enjoy working with any person who is motivated to overcome issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or more severe disorders. In my 18 years in practice as a psychologist, I am frequently reminded of the importance of not being so problem-focused that one forgets to look at the person's strengths, which are the most valuable tools for recovery and personal growth. I feel privileged to be invited by clients to join them on their journey of growth, healing and discovery. As stated above, I work mainly with adults across a broad spectrum of problems,ranging from general life adjustment issues to more severe disorders including Bipolar Disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, trauma/abuse issues and substance abuse. I am comfortable with people bringing their spiritual issues to therapy;in fact, I often find that a person's faith and spiritual orientation is a tremendous asset in their journey of healing, growth, and discovery. Quality psychotherapy helps to access one's inner potential for psychological health and healing.
