[NOTE: I am not taking any new clients at this time] The foundation of my counseling approach is in a compassionate and understanding therapeutic relationship. Furthermore, I integrate the art and science of psychological treatment, and tailor treatment specifically to you. I consider your needs, strengths, and values, and collaborate with you so that you may reach your goals. My strength-based approach incorporates elements from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, experiential, and mindfulness perspectives. Much of my training has been within college aged populations, but I enjoy working with individuals of all ages. I have helped clients struggling with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. I have special interest in diversity and cultural issues. Additionally I have experience in treating trauma, grief, life transitions, performance anxiety, minor disordered eating, and family/relationship concerns. I am a Ph.D. level licensed psychologist with a HSPP endorsement. I have trained and worked at several university counseling centers including Butler University, Miami University, and Indiana University. I have been trained in family/couples therapy. Additionally, I have taught psychology classes at the undergraduate and graduate level.
