The development of a gentle curiosity of one's internal experience becomes the basis for trust, compassion and authentic expression. This contemplative relationship with the self can then begin to expand, with clarity and grace, the way in which we connect and relate to others. Therapeutic style tends toward interactive, while encouraging the client's inner consciousness to guide the process at a safe pace. Use of a Humanistic, Collaborative, Strength-Based model that views individuals as having an innate propensity toward growth and health. Integrative strategies encourage a congruence of mind and body in the present moment exploring one's internal and somatic experience. Therapeutic methods include Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Affect Regulation, Directed Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Approach is holistic, integrating self-care, nutrition, and exercise. Clients worked with include adults, adolescents, couples, and families, specializing in the treatment of relational difficulties, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, depression, LGBTQ issues, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive/compulsive disorders, and grief counseling.
