Psychotherapy can help clients experience a renewed sense of strength and meaning in their own abilities to improve their life and relationships. I view my clients as fellow human beings in search of some type of change. Individuals/families having difficulties may feel distressed and unable to get where they want. Together we work towards growth by identifying issues involved, establishing goals, and increasing awareness of patterns that maintain discomfort. As awareness of one's desires, perceptions, fears, and strengths increase, there are more options and more opportunities for change and connection with others. I enjoy working with clients who are interested in improving their quality of life. The heart of my practice is helping people clearly identify their thoughts, feelings and concerns in relation to events/situations. We then establish specific steps for improvements. My clients often develop important skills and discover unexpected potentials. I work with most life issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, coping skills, anger management, self-growth, relationship problems, trauma, PTSD, loss, ADD, family concerns, and bipolar disorder. My goal is to utilize a supportive and collaborative therapeutic style to help transform and resolve an individual's difficulties.
