I enjoy working with individuals and couples of all ages. I approach a client's situation from a caring posture. It is my goal to establish a grace-filled environment that produces safety and trust; people thrive in that environment. My approach to couples therapy is integrative, using several theoretical positions, depending on the presenting issue. I enjoy helping couples identify areas to repair or improve and frequently assist couples approaching or experiencing relational disconnection. I see my role as a facilitator to help a couple build new or strengthen existing pathways of relational connection. My areas of emphasis include couples therapy, spirituality and anxiety. I have experience with challenges related to spirituality and leadership, as I have functioned in various leadership roles and understand the complexity those roles can bring to life and relationships. I have seen clients improve significantly in managing anxiety. I draw from knowledge and experience gained in other professional vocations (consulting) and care-giving roles (pastor, father). I also draw from my 23 years of marriage and 17 years of experience parenting. I consider it a great privilege to come alongside people in their journey toward health and wholeness.
