I work from a relational and insight oriented approach. I believe that we were all created for connection and that our woundedness often gets in the way of this connectedness, whether it be to God or others. Deep, intensive counseling can help heal this woundedness so that connections are more honest, genuine, and whole. It should also leave you with a deeper sense of self and identity, so that you can interact in healthy ways with the world around you. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the Gainesville area. I am also a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and abuse, grief and loss, family therapy, eating disorders, and addictions. I take an eclectic approach based on the needs are of my clients. I utilize techniques from Gestalt, Object Relations, Family Systems, Sensorimotor, Mindfulness, Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, and Art Therapy into my work. I have three Italian Greyhounds, Sue, Jonahs, and Wyatt, who assist with therapy during each session.
