I regularly help individuals, couples and families make changes they never thought possible. My style tends to be more proactive, but without judgment and depending on the clients needs. I ask questions and make frequent observations to help clients (1) increase self-awareness and become more comfortable with themselves and their feelings, (2) to make better choices, (3) toward greater satisfaction in their lives and relationships. I work with adults and adolescents, individuals, couples, and families, addressing anxiety, depression, chemical dependency and other addictions, PTSD and trauma (physical and sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence), multiracial family and relationship issues, adoption, divorce, issues related to the legal system, ADHD, truancy and other academic issues affecting adolescents. Personal choices based on honest self-reflection can overcome even the most difficult circumstances. I know this from my own experiences and use it to help clients every day. Before college I was a troubled teen with a bleak future who turned his life around. I understand my clients' challenges.
