I am passionate about connecting with people of all ages, engaging in open dialogue to understand their perspectives, and offering support and compassion as they take steps toward positive change in their lives. I have extensive experience treating clients suffering from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma and relationship concerns, among other issues, and I refine my therapeutic approach to each individual's needs. This means helping clients to develop coping skills and make behavioral changes, relating well to adolescents, providing parent guidance and facilitating communication among families, and guiding emotional processing to resolve past experiences and relieve suffering. I practice an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive, somatic psychology, psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches. Additionally, by incorporating yoga philosophy and mindfulness into my style, I support clients in getting "out of their heads," becoming grounded and present within their emotional experiences, and fostering the mind-body connection. My clients find me to be active and engaged in the therapeutic process, empathetic and validating, and able to directly challenge them in a way that opens doors to change. Concepts which include non-attachment, mindfulness, sitting with emotions, and letting go of resistance are all central to my style.
