I enjoy working with adults and couples helping them stabilize and build therapeutic bonds through relational attachment and self discovery. In addition to my graduate training I have over five years of training as a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist teaching parenting skills and behavioral interventions and working one on one with at-risk-youth to reduce negative and harmful behaviors. I worked for 10 years in therapeutic settings, most of that time in group homes with at-risk-youth and foster parents. I am in ongoing training for working with couples using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. It can have a profound impact on couples as they learn the negative cycles that they get caught up in and learn how to reach for each other to communicate their needs in more effective way. I am also in ongoing training in Psychoanalytic Intersubjectivity which acknowledges the importance of each individual's unique experience of life and the need to make sense of significant events for a developmental second chance.This is a powerful way to get unstuck and process events that cannot be worked through alone.
