Whether this is your first time in therapy or you are returning after a break, it is important to find a therapist who is the right "fit" for you. I love people and always look to draw out a client's "best self" to address their present difficulties. Through the therapeutic process they gain self awareness, experience and skills to find their own way in the future. I provide a caring compassionate presence, fourteen years of professional experience and knowledge to address a wide variety of issues and a sense of humor which can ease the pain of emotions. I specialize in relationship issues, healthy boundaries, communication skills, healing old hurts interfering with current life and accessing inner resources to move forward. I provide support in parenting young children, adolescents and young adults. I offer guidance to individuals with issues with depression, anxiety or behavior and educate their families. My office is centrally located, easy to find, handicap accessible, safe and comfortable. I have a separate play therapy and sand tray room. I work two evenings and most Saturdays to accommodate client's schedules. To keep my treatment current, I participate in two peer consultation groups and continuing education trainings.
