My goal is to help you regain access to your hope and strengths. I work by first attending to what bothers you now and then by discovering with you how key aspects of your past shape your present. If you are feeling trapped, overwhelmed, numb, anxious, depressed, or generally dissatisfied, we can work together to create the space and safety you need to identify and make positive choices. As the foundation of our work, we will pay close attention to your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. I emphasize creating a supportive environment to foster insights and skill-building so you can better manage your life. Our work can be short- or long-term, depending on your needs and interests. In addition to my private practice, I also work as a staff social worker at The Center for Post Traumatic Disorders at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. I have served as a Clinical Associate of Catholic University's National Catholic School of Social Service and a Clinical Affiliate of The George Washington University Counseling Center.
