"I just feel stuck!' This is the complaint I hear most often from clients. If you are feeling stuck in relationships, parenting, overcoming problematic behaviors or symptoms of depression, anxiety or trauma I am here to help you get "unstuck". By offering a fresh perspective, a different outlook, and practical skills I work collaboratively with you to set goals and find solutions to change the patterns that have you stuck. While I enjoy working with many different issues, my passions are treating trauma, working with families pre and post adoption and working with families who have children with special needs. I am trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have 5+ years of experience working with trauma and abuse. I take a collaborative and interactive approach to therapy. I enjoy using interactive therapies, worksheets, reading assignments, and other creative activities to help cement the ideas that are discussed in sessions. I use stories, illustrations and examples to communicate the themes of counseling into meaningful and practical application.
