I am a thoughtful, warm, seasoned, flexible, and experienced licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist with an office just north of the Loop in Chicago. I establish supportive and comfortable therapeutic relationships with both men and women, and with couples. Sessions are individualIy-tailored to the specific needs, goals, and strengths of each client, couple, or family. Typical issues include the following: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, work difficulties, grief or loss, relationship issues or patterns, substance or alcohol abuse, divorce, blended families, parenting, stress management, relief from painful emotional symptoms or patterns, and renewing hope. I use a customized, Integrative approach that can include facilitating insight into the roots and meanings of unwanted behavioral, emotional, and relationship patterns as well as fostering present-day change and problem-solving. Each approach specifically reflects clients' strengths and individual preferences about the focus, depth, and pace of therapy. I developed a broad, sophisticated perspective from my considerable experience as a clinical psychologist and as a marriage and family therapist. I train and teach psychologists at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and The Family Institute. I'm the professional whom many other therapists consult, the therapists' therapist!
