I am a clinical psychologist who works with adults in individual psychotherapy. While my work is informed by various psychological theories (psychodynamic, attachment, and cognitive behavioral), my approach is practical and collaborative and tailored to the specific needs of each person. Clients have described me as warm and caring with a good sense of humor. Indeed, I believe humor has its place in therapy because it often provides the safety to explore the more painful experiences that need to be resolved. A comfortable fit between client and therapist is extremely important and is part of what helps people to explore the issues which brought them to therapy and to make important, lasting changes.
