Therapy is about empowering individuals and coming face-to-face with adversities in order to create richer and more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided to explore past experiences as they impact current emotions and behaviors. I help clients process debilitating emotional issues, deal with shame, and gain a greater knowledge of themselves. Through therapy, we bring issues to the surface so that clients gain the ability to direct their own lives. I have been helping people develop their personal strengths and understand and modify their relationships for over 30 years, and have seen countless clients transform themselves. I have extensive training in various therapy frameworks including psychodynamic, family of origin, and mindfulness cognitive behavioral methods, which enables me to individualize services for each client I work with. I am knowledgeable about cross-cultural differences and in tune with the skills required to work with people from diverse backgrounds. In addition to working with adults and adolescents, couples, and families, I offer therapy groups for women. I am available for clinical consultation with agencies and other therapists. A free phone consultation is offered for anyone interested in my services, and I welcome referrals.
