I work with children, teens, and adults, both individually and as couples and families, to address a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, grief and loss, substance use, and LGBTQ concerns. I offer a warm, accepting space throughout the therapy process. My theory is that every person has the capacity to find the answers to their challenges. I will invite you to explore a new way of thinking, look at your situation from a different angle, and bring your existing strengths to the forefront of your life. A specific area of interest is working with clients who are struggling with thoughts of suicide. I have experience working with individuals and their families who have struggled with a mental health concern that has resulted in a suicide attempt or hospitalization. Before launching my career as a therapist, I worked with non-profit agencies serving families experiencing domestic violence, poverty, and homelessness. I value creating meaningful professional relationships with families from varying cultural, economic, and religious backgrounds. I am committed to serving the immigrant community. I am a Spanish-speaking therapist.
