I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, as well as a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of substance abuse of individuals and their families. I also treat people with depression, anxiety relationship issues, parenting issues and coping with any disability. My mission is to support, guide and educate my clients toward a happier, healthier life. I provide a safe, positive, non-judgmental environment in which you may explore your psyche and gain insight. I would like to help you identify your goals and become empowered to make changes, practice new coping skills and begin to live a more fulfilling life. I have extensive experience helping people recover from alcohol and drug abuse and or dependence. For years, I have witnessed how small, yet profound changes can heal a family. I couple all counseling with practical applications, cultivating pro-active behavior and personal responsibility which follows undertstanding the problem. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to help you observe the power of your thoughts and discover what causes you to feel uncomfortable. I am well versed in 12 step work.
