Working over twenty years in the field, I am a seasoned therapist that has a respect for the client and his/her needs for confidentiality, for a comprehensive evaluation, and a specific treatment direction. My style involves engaging clients in exploring the etiology of their symptoms, developing skills to effectively cope, and to resolve the source(s) of the problem. Of course the client decides the extent of any treatment plan. While my graduate training has been eclectic, it is my many professional experiences that has provided me with a range of clinical skills. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have extensive experience working with depression, codependency,and trauma recovery. I have skills in play therapy and addressing the special needs of children. I am also trained in techniques in E.M.D.R.(Level 2), that assist in the processing of trauma material which shortens the length of time in therapy.
