Debra DuBose, LCSW and A Safe Port Counseling Center therapists under Debra's supervision provide comprehensive mental health services to the LGBTQ community, those affected by HIV, and their family and support persons. Debra has 35 years of post graduate clinical experience and is a qualified supervisor for the State of Florida for therapists seeking licensure. Services include individual, couple, family, and group therapy. Debra is certified to provide pre-marital counseling required for marriage licenses in the State of Florida. She is able to provide mental health hormone readiness assessments required by endocrinologists for persons who are transitioning. The goal of A Safe Port Counseling Center is to provide mental health services for LGBTQ persons, sexual minorities, and those outside the gender binary. We provide an understanding of an array of relationship variations and dynamics. Services for partners, families, and other support persons are also available. Debra has been a member of the Pensacola area community most of her life. She has actively participated in LGBTQ and HIV activities and is a member of several organizations. In addition to her clinical work, she provides trainings on LGBTQPGIA and HIV issues to local agencies and organizations.
