My expertise is in the unique stresses and multiple balancing acts that busy families face, including the suffering marriage, lonely single career person, the overwhelmed mother, the crisis teenager, step-families, and single parent families. I have experience working with crisis families who are in the midst of divorce, families with children who are struggling, and families who have adopted a struggling adolescent. My therapeutic specialty is relationships. I am experienced at working with clients of all seasons and diversity. I am skilled at addressing important women and relationship counseling issues including trauma experienced in relationships from betrayal, domestic violence and control issues. I am a survivor of living as a crisis teen that lead into my early 20's, and in those years overcame a fatherless home, dysfunctional family systems, family divorce and remarriage, abuse, and severe depression.
