I help struggling teens and adults, distant couples, and hurting families. I provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for people to explore their pain and challenges without fear of judgment. Building a strong relationship where my clients know they are cared for and are free to laugh or cry (we do a lot of both) is extremely important to me. As a social worker at heart, I try to help those I work with recognize the strengths they have as well as to recognize where one's lifestyle may be out of balance with one's personal values. I have spent over 15 years helping people overcome substance abuse and mental illness employing various approaches including Mindfulness Based CBT, DBT, and faith based counseling. I also work a lot with adults with ADHD to succeed personally and professionally as well as people struggling with grief and chronic illness. My spiritual mentor taught me that, 'No one cares what you have to say until they know that you care,' which has been a foundation of my practice. To heal or recover is a journey and I do my best to provide wisdom, comfort and safety along the way.
