I bring 30 years of experience as a clinician in my work specializing in young children and their parents. I use a play-based approach to address a wide range of issues including attachment, adoption, anxiety, trauma, loss, and behavioral/emotional challenges. I bring a sense of humility and humor to my engagement with clients. I greatly enjoy collaborating closely with parents, school-based and other professionals. I also see adults and couples, typical issues addressed include: coping with life changes/losses/balancing family and work/ post partum depression/ and working towards better communication and intimacy. I have had extensive training in infant mental health, Theraplay, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Family Systems therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and Trauma Focused CBT, as well as training in working with couples. I use a variety of approaches and treatment is based on each client's/family's/couples' individual and unique needs. In addition to my years of experience and training, I have learned a great deal from the amazing families and individuals with whom I've worked. I greatly enjoy giving support to the parents who do such incredible work with their challenging children, and collaborating with their community providers.
