I work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD in both children and adults, and issues that are often associated with these disorders, such as school failure, trauma or chronic illness. I typically help people examine their thinking patterns as these affect their emotions and relationships, as well as looking at relevant history and how it continues to affect them. We can't change history or significant others, but we can learn new ways to think about our feelings and relationships, which typically changes how we handle them. I also examine life-style issues as they affect health and emotions. With 27 years in private practice serving children and adults, and several years of agency experience as a child and family therapist , I bring both academic training and hands-on experience to my work.
