I am Adam Cox, Ph.D., ABPP, a board-certified, licensed clinical psychologist . I provide evaluation and psychotherapy for adults, children, and couples. I believe relationships can be the best part of life - when they are working. Unfortunately, many people wait too long to ask for help! My background includes extensive work with families, and I take great pride in having helped families manage stress and stay together. I have also worked with many college students on social and motivational issues. My clients tell me they appreciate my candor and insight. My philosophy of psychotherapy is that no treatment is superior to all others. I believe that clients benefit from integrated therapeutic approaches suited to specific presenting problems. In general, I am an action-oriented therapist who believes that life only changes when you take the steps to make it better. My perspective of human development is also shaped by many years of working as an artist. I believe that a person's essential creativity is one of their greatest healing assets, and I look forward to helping people explore new resources within themselves.
