My practice involves the integration of varied therapeutic approaches and techniques tailored to suit the individual by taking into account the client's cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic background to empower them towards growth and healing. I welcome my clients to be active collaborators in the therapeutic, goal setting and the treatment planning process. Therapy is about making change in yourself and in your life. I also consider the interplay of psychological and spiritual life in my work and will incorporate that aspect of self into our work together if you desire. I understand the therapeutic process to be one of mutual exploration and discovery where the client and therapist form a working alliance built on mutual respect and trust. Each individual has a unique thought process based on their personal history, life experiences and personal set of beliefs about who they are. My role is to assist the client explore their strengths to modify thoughts, talk, beliefs and perceptions in order to ultimately change patterns of behaviors.
